Nanofiltration is a membrane separation method whose molecular weight limit is between ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. It is used to remove bacteria, viruses, organic matter and hardness. The process is a separation method that takes place on a selectively permeable layer consisting of a semi-permeable membrane with a pore diameter of 1/100,000 mm under pressure.
Usage Areas :
- In obtaining drinking and utility water
- In obtaining soft water for the process
- In treated wastewater recovery
- Membrane systems pretreatment
